About the Program
More Than a Golf Program
District Youth Golf Group — Washington, D.C. Area
Golf has always been about more than the game. It's about access. It's about the conversations on the course, the handshakes at the clubhouse, the networks built over 18 holes that change the trajectory of a person's life.
District Youth Golf Group exists to make sure every young person — regardless of their background or zip code — has access to that world.
We teach the fundamentals of golf. But we go further. Through our program, participants are exposed to real career opportunities in technology, cybersecurity, creative media, and business. They volunteer alongside seniors, building relationships that bridge generations. They grow into professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
This is more than a golf program.
It's a pipeline to possibility.
Our Approach
What Makes Us Different
We Remove the Barrier
Equipment, instruction, and facility access — we provide what young people need so that cost is never the reason someone can't participate.
We Open Real Doors
Through our connection to the District Enterprise Group family of companies, participants access real training, real internships, and real career pathways in tech, cybersecurity, and creative media.
We Give Back Together
Our youth don't just receive from the community — they give back through senior technology education workshops, building patience, empathy, and cross-generational relationships.
The Support Structure
Built as an Ecosystem
District Youth Golf Group is proudly supported by the District Enterprise Group family of companies — an intentionally connected system where every dollar and every opportunity circulates back to the people we're here to serve.
District Tech Group provides our IT infrastructure and opens its doors to our youth with tech and cybersecurity training, volunteer opportunities, internships, and scholarships. District Tech Group also donates a portion of all revenue directly back to DYGG.
District Creative Group handles our marketing, materials, and media production — and invites youth interested in creative careers to gain real-world experience on actual projects. A portion of their revenue is donated to DYGG as well.
This isn't charity. It's a connected ecosystem.
